Elementary Ministry

Uptown is the environment where 1st-5th graders gather for fun Bible Study, worship, games and much more! We invest in children and seek to equip them for the journey of life by providing them a safe place and by teaching biblical truths in fun and age-appropriate ways.

  • Sunday School:  Our most exciting hour of the week! Elementary students participate in worship while the Bible story is creatively taught by our team of actors in a large group setting. Lessons are then reinforced in small group environments.  Parents are provided with weekly take home sheets which enable and equip them to teach and talk about the Bible lesson at home throughout the week.                                                        Sunday 9:45 a.m.

  • Worship:  We value children and families at South Main! 1st-5th grades are integrated into our child friendly worship services at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. There is a children's sermon as a regular part of the worship experience.

  • Mission Initiatives: Missions programs help children understand how they can serve others and share their faith.  They also inform children about those who serve around the world telling others about Jesus.  Royal Ambassadors and Girls in Action groups provide missions education and hands-on missions experiences for 1st-5th graders. Sunday 6:00 p.m.

  • Choir: Music is an important expression of worship.  Kid's Praise children's choir is on Wednesday 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m (September - December)

  • Truth Trackers: An exciting discipleship program focused on Bible Memory, Missions, and other important elements in a fun, fast paced, engaging environment!     Wednesday 6:00 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.  (January - August)
