Friday of Holy Week could be named, “Son Up.” Jesus hung on the Cross, suspended between heaven and earth, but rejected by both to reconcile sinful humanity back to God. We were condemned to suffer the agonies of death and hell for our sins.
But Jesus came to pay the fine, and now the penalty has been paid, the prison doors have been flung open, and we can go free. So, as you read our focal verse for today, draw near to God in grateful and humble praise.
“And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.”
