TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
This verse is from the fourth book of the Bible and highlights two characteristics of God, namely His love and His holiness. In His holiness the Lord condemns and punishes sin, but in His love and patience He provides a way of forgiveness through the sacrifice of the perfect lamb…Jesus!
Israel failed to trust and obey God’s leadership and had to wander in the wilderness for 40 years. As you read the verse above, thank God that your wandering days are over as you trust in and rely upon Christ as your Savior and Lord.
“The Lord is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation.” (Numbers 14:18)
