TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

“But, I can’t sing!” This is a phrase we hear when reading commands in scripture to sing to the Lord. In a worship service we think of ourselves as we listen to the choir perform or watch the praise band play. But singing in the Bible speaks of participating in the worship and wonder of God. So, as your read our verse for today, determine not to be a spectator in worship, but a participator, even if you just hum, or lift your hands, or just “make a joyful noise.” After all, even the heavens sing praises to our great Lord!

Isaiah 49:13

“Sing for joy, O heavens, and exult, O earth; break forth, O mountains, into singing! For the Lord has comforted his people and will have compassion on his afflicted.”.
