TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

Sometimes doctors will prescribe a “detox” for certain patients. Maybe they are addicted to drugs and alcohol and need to kick those habits and get those toxins out of their system. Sometimes a patient is taking a large variety of drugs with adverse reactions to one another, and a doctor will order a detox. Or sometimes a nutritionist will recommend that a person do a nutritional detox to rid their bodies of sugar, caffeine, and preservatives. And sometimes, people need a mental detox to rid themselves of undesirable thoughts and attitudes. And how do we do this? By replacing those thoughts with things that are true and pure. So, learn more about this by reading today’s scripture passage below and praying for God to renew your mind!

Philippians 4:8-9

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
