Besides Peter’s and Paul’s imprisonments, other believers were thrown in jail as well. Even the Apostle John was exiled on the Isle of Patmos. From this virtual prison, he saw a vision of the things to come. The book of Revelation is so-named because it reveals the end of days…when God judges sin and creates a new heaven and new earth!
Revelation 1:9
I, John, your brother and companion in the suffering and kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus, was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.
