TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
The significance of a person is not in their talent or strength. And, the significance of a place is not in its beauty or wealth. True significance comes from God. David was a young shepherd boy, but the Lord made him a king. Jerusalem was a little-noticed Jebusite city, but the Lord made it His capital. As you read today about David’s conquest of Jerusalem, remember that your significance comes for God!
9 David then took up residence in the fortress and called it the City of David. He built up the area around it, from the terraces inward. 10 And he became more and more powerful, because the Lord God Almighty was with him. (2 Samuel 5:9-10)
