TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
Jesus proclaimed in the presence of all one day in the synagogue that He was the fulfillment of a prophecy in Isaiah. The prophecy repeated in our focal scripture passage for today. The prophecy of a Messiah who would come to preach the Gospel, and to set free those who were held captive in the prison of sin. Praise the Lord that Jesus came!
Luke 4:18-19
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives.
