“He leadeth me,” may be one of the most profound and miraculous statements ever uttered or thought. That the God of the universe would stoop down to take us by the hand and lead us, day by day, moment by moment, is too wonderful to conceive. Yet the Lord does lead us. In miraculous ways (as in our Scripture reading for today), in a still small voice, through Christian friends, through prayer, through his mighty Word, and through opened and closed doors, God shepherds His children. As you read today purpose in your heart to follow your Leader!
21 By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night. 22 Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people.
