TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
The biggest problem-word in our vocabulary is also the shortest word in our vocabulary. It is the word, “I” and this simple word has caused more sin and destruction than we can imagine. It is the middle letter in the word “pride.” It is the middle letter in the word “sin.” And in the power of our flesh alone we cannot prevail over sin and the law. But, by changing our minds, repenting, and trusting in Jesus we are freed from the law of sin and death to a higher plane of relationship with the Lord who makes us a new creation in Christ.
Romans 7:25
“Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.”
