Family Devotion: Our Father In Heaven

'Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.' - Matthew 6:9, ESV
🔍 DISCOVER IT
Because God is our Father, we are never alone. He is always with us, guiding and protecting His children. His love is unconditional, it is not based on what we do, but on who He is. Through Jesus, He has shown the greatest love by offering forgiveness for our sins. God also provides for our needs and protects us in times of trouble. As a good Father, He leads us through His Spirit, giving us direction for life. When we feel afraid or discouraged, He strengthens and helps us. In addition, being God’s children means we are part of something bigger—we belong to His family. We have a place where we are loved, accepted, and supported. This truth brings comfort, confidence, and hope in every season of life.

When have you recently felt God’s presence with you?
What is one way you have experienced God’s love?
Why is it important to remember that God forgives us completely?
How has God provided for or protected your family?
What does it mean to you that you are part of God’s family?
Where do you need God’s guidance or encouragement right now?
🧭 LIVE IT
Take time this week to thank God each day for one way He has been with you.
Show God’s love to someone in your family through kindness and encouragement.
When you make a mistake, remember God’s forgiveness and extend that same grace to others.
Trust God with your needs by praying specifically and relying on Him.
Remind each other as a family: “We belong to God—we are not alone.”
🙏 PRAY IT
Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us and calling us Your children. Thank You that You are always with us and that You will never leave us. We praise You for Your forgiveness, Your provision, and Your protection. Help us to trust You more each day and to follow Your guidance. Strengthen us when we are afraid and remind us that we belong to Your family. Teach us to love others the way You love us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
