Some jobs are dirty—taking out the trash, cleaning a messy garage, or scrubbing a muddy floor. But the “dirtiest job of all” wasn’t done with soap and water. It was done on a cross.
Jesus, who was completely sinless, took upon Himself all the sin of the world—every lie, every selfish act, every wrong thought. He didn’t just carry sin; the Bible says He became sin for us. That means He took our place completely, bearing the full weight and punishment we deserved.
This was the ultimate act of love—and the greatest sacrifice ever made.

What are some “dirty jobs” you’ve had to do? Why didn’t you enjoy them?
What does it mean that Jesus “had no sin”? Why is that important?
How does it make you feel to know that Jesus took your sin upon Himself?
🧭 LIVE IT
Realize that if Jesus took your place, you don’t have to carry the guilt of your sin. He already paid for it.
Realize that sin is serious. It took the death of Jesus to deal with it, so we should not take sin lightly.
Realize that God’s grace is amazing. Receive righteousness not because you earn it, but because Jesus gives it.
Realize you can live differently. Because you are made right with God, you can pursue a life that honors Him.
🙏 PRAY IT
Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Jesus to do the dirtiest job of all—to take the sin of the world upon Himself. Thank You that He was willing to suffer and die in our place so that we could be forgiven and made righteous in Your sight. Help us to never take that sacrifice lightly. Teach us to live with a grateful heart, turning away from sin and walking in obedience to You. May our lives reflect the love You have shown us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
