🔍 DISCOVER IT
Life is full of things demanding our attention. Bills need to be paid. Schedules need to be managed. Problems need to be solved. It’s easy for individuals and even whole families to become overwhelmed trying to keep everything together. In Matthew 6, Jesus was speaking to people who were worried about food, clothing, and daily needs. But instead of telling them to ignore their responsibilities, He gave them the key to everything: “Put God first.” When we seek God’s kingdom first – His will, His ways, and His righteousness – we discover that life begins to fall into its proper place. Priorities determine direction. And when God is first in our homes and lives, decisions become clearer, burdens become lighter, and peace replaces panic. The world says, “Chase everything else and fit God in later.” Jesus says, “Put God first, and He will take care of the rest.

What are some things that compete for first place in your life? Why did Jesus teach that seeking God first should be the priority?
What do you think it means to “seek first the kingdom of God” in your life? Can you think of a time when putting God first helped bring peace or direction to a situation?
What is one area of life where you, your friends, or your family need to trust God more fully?

Realize that putting God first is not just about church attendance. It is about daily surrender.
Families and individuals grow stronger when Christ becomes the center instead of an afterthought. So, seek God as the priority of your life.
Worry decreases when faith increases. So, ask, “What would honor the Lord,” before making decisions.
🙏 PRAY IT
This week, get your family or friends to begin each day together with one simple prayer: “Lord, help us seek You first today.” Then look for ways your family can intentionally place God first—through prayer, kindness, worship, generosity, or obedience.
