Meet Our Interim Pastor

WELCOME DR. BRIAN SAXON

A Greenwood native and current employee of the South Carolina Baptist Convention, Dr. Saxon will begin serving with us on Sunday, July 26, when he will preach for the first time in our pulpit.

Dr. Saxon serves as the Shepherd Team Leader with the South Carolina Baptist Convention, where he assists churches in renewal and revitalization. He is also the director of the South Carolina Baptist Doctor of Ministry program and serves as an adjunct professor at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, teaching courses in expository preaching and related areas. Brian brings a rich background of faithful local church ministry. He served for 18 years as senior pastor of Second Baptist Church in Lancaster, South Carolina, and has also ministered at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Belton and as associate pastor at North Side Baptist Church in Greenwood.

Pray for Dr. Saxon, that the Lord will bless and guide him as he prepares to begin his ministry among us on July 26.
