Pastor Search Committee Update

The Pastor Search Committee would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to you, our church family, for your continued prayers and encouragement as we move through this important transition season. We are especially thankful for your faithful prayers and the use of our Pastor Search Prayer Guide. 

In recent weeks, our team had the privilege of meeting individually with each SMBC staff ministers and directors. These times together were both worshipful and encouraging as we listened to their stories of God's faithfulness, witnessed their love for the Lord, and heard their passion for the ministries they lead. South Main is truly blessed with a staff that serves with unity, humility, and a genuine love for one another and for our church family.

As we continue in this season of waiting, we are reminded that waiting is never wasted when it draws us closer to the Lord. This is an opportunity for all of us to renew our commitment to seek Him earnestly and trust His perfect plan.

God's Word reminds us in Jeremiah 29:12-14: "You will call to me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the Lord.

And in Jeremiah 33:3, the Lord gives this wonderful promise: "Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and incomprehensible things you do not know."

As we seek the Lord together, we do so with confidence in His faithfulness and sovereignty. We trust that in His perfect timing, God will reveal the Senior Pastor that He has prepared for our church. Until then, may we continue praying, seeking, and waiting with expectant hearts.
