THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB

Revelation 19:7

"Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready."

Discover It

Imagine preparing for the most important celebration ever—a wedding feast full of joy, love, and unity. Revelation 19:7 invites us to celebrate the ultimate wedding: the marriage supper of the Lamb. In this event, Jesus, the Lamb of God, is united with His bride, the Church. This celebration is the culmination of God’s plan to redeem His people and dwell with them forever.

But notice something: the bride has "made herself ready." This readiness comes not from our efforts but through the righteousness of Jesus, given to us when we trust Him as Savior. However, we also participate by living holy lives that reflect His glory. Just as a bride prepares for her wedding day, we prepare by faithfully following Jesus.

This passage calls us to rejoice, give God glory, and eagerly anticipate the day when all believers will celebrate together with Jesus at this heavenly feast. It reminds us that our hope is not just for today but for an eternity of joy with our Savior.

Ask It

1. What do you think the "marriage supper of the Lamb" will be like? (Hint: Rev. 19:6-10)

2. How can we, as a family, prepare ourselves for this celebration? (Hint: Rom. 10:13)

3. What does it mean to "give Him glory" in our daily lives? (Hint: 1 Cor. 10:31)

Live It

1. Accept Jesus’ invitation to the heavenly celebration of His love and redemption.

2. Be ready by trusting Jesus and living a life that honors Him.

3. Rejoice in God’s promises to stay focused on the reality and hope of eternity.

Pray It

Dear Lord, thank You for inviting me to be part of the marriage supper of the Lamb. Help me to live in a way that brings You glory and reflects the hope we have in Jesus. Prepare my heart to celebrate with You and to share this amazing promise of eternal life with others. We look forward to the day when we will be with You forever. In Jesus' name, Amen.
